into the studio
aperi me. is a studio practice in small editions. we don't run a workshop. we run a long, slow looking. we choose three or four small things at a time, fit them to a season, photograph them in afternoon light, and send them on.
the choosing is unhurried. for every piece in an edition, several are held up and put back down. when a colour closes, it closes — and the next opening is its own moment.
- hypoallergenic stainless steel — the core that doesn't turn
- mother of pearl, chosen for tone
- sequins and coloured resin, sourced for the way they catch light
- a warm gold-tone on the cuffs and bangles, the same steel beneath
- shipped tracked from europe, composed and photographed in the studio
01 what we look for
steel that doesn't turn green. a pearl with its own light. weight that sits, not pulls. a colour that holds in afternoon and at night.
02 what we say no to
anything that tarnishes in three months. anything that itches. anything that looks like everything else in a hundred carts.
03 where it ships from
every order leaves europe, tracked, in plain paper. the studio composes the edition; the studio answers the email.
each edition opens slowly. there is no campaign, no countdown. we release what we have chosen, when it is ready, and the rest of the time we look.
a few, open now
chosen for this season. each opens to its own page.
— aperi, in europe.
